Waves

I come crashing down on you like a wave,

engulfing you quickly,

pulling you in deep,

drowning you;

my waters are deep and dark,

no man has ever survived,

cold and stubborn,

waters unwavering;

Eventually you'll get spit out,

back to the shore I pulled you from,

back to reality,

far away from me

People come and go,

like the tide,

never staying too long before they pull back,

like the tide,

I will be forgotten
